Hugh storey was born in Northumberland in 1931.
After doing his national service, he moved to Kenya with his family during the 1950s. Here, he accepted a sales rep position and progressed his sales career with various companies.
After leaving Kenya in the mid 60s, he returned to England with his family and settled in Newark, where he started working for a local company which specialised in the sales of ultrasonic tanks and cleaning fluid.
During this time he meet his wife Patricia and they were married in 1969. His daughter Charlotte was born five years later.
In 1990, after a lot of thought, Hugh decided start his own business; H & P Storey Associates. Charlotte left school the same year and worked as a Bakery Manager in a local supermarket. In 2001 she left this position to work with her father following his cancer diagnosis.
Hugh sadly passed away in May 2002, when Charlotte decided to continue her father's business and work full time. Charlotte continues to live in Newark with her two teenage children.
H & P Storey Associates now supply horological cleaning fluids to many clock and watch makers and jewellers all over the country.
I have used H.P. Storey as a supplier for the last 20 years.
